Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL), an SPV responsible for developing the greenfield Noida International Airport in India, has selected Tata Projects Ltd. to undertake the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of the airport infrastructure.
The EPC contractor will be responsible for the construction of the terminal, runway, airside infrastructure, roads, utilities, landside facilities and other ancillary buildings at the airport. The US$2.8 billion airport will be built on an area of 5100 hectares and will be developed in phases. There will be a total of 6 runways. The first phase of the project will involve building two runways on 1,334 hectares of land and is expected to be completed by 2023.
YIAPL is a 100% subsidiary of Zurich Airport International AG. The company will be responsible for implementing the Public-Private Partnership project together with the Government of Uttar Pradesh, New Okhla Industrial Development Authority, and Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority.
