The Department of Justice of the Victorian Government in Australia has launched a Request for Expressions of Interest for the Ravenhall prison PPP project. The private sector will be responsible for the design, construction, maintenance and operation of the project under a PPP contract.

The Victorian Government will build a new 500 bed prison to relieve the enormous and growing pressure on places in Victoria's prison system. The total capital investment for the project wil be of A$670 million.

The deadline for submissions of Expressions of Interest is 18 July 2013.

On Wednesday, 12 Jun 2013 at 12:00 AM there will be a Briefing meeting in Melbourne, Victoria. Representatives of interested parties who wish to attend the EOI briefing are required to register by emailing their name, organisation details and nature of their interest to the Project Director (Ben Dempsey -ravenhall.prison@justice.vic.gov.au). Closing time and date for registrations to attend: 11am Tuesday 11 June 2013.
