The Senegal government has invited consulting firms to express interest in conducting pre-feasibility studies, prior evaluation, and providing transaction advisory services for the financing, construction, and operation of solid waste management and recovery infrastructure.

The Project to Promote Integrated Management and the Economy of Solid Waste (PROMEGED) includes the development of integrated waste recovery centers in Dagana, Bokhol, Ndioum, and Ogo, and technical landfill centers in Bokodiawé and Ranérou.

The consultant will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Revise and authenticate the Collected and existing data, conducting additional investigations if required (such as topographic surveys, land boundaries, geotechnical surveys to determine soil characteristics supporting the planned activities, etc.);
• Conduct comprehensive technical design studies for the construction and provide advisory services for the Public-Private Partnership of Technical Landfill Centers (CET) and integrated Waste Recovery Centers (CIVD), as well as the mitigation of any existing waste masses on infrastructure sites.
• Formulate the Tender Files (DAO) for the financing, construction, and operation of CET and CIVD projects to enable companies to bid and execute the work without the need for additional studies.

The International Development Association, the French Development Agency, the Spanish International Cooperation Agency, the European Bank of Investment, and the World Bank are supporting the project.
