Eiffage signs Lille University PPP project

The Communauté d'Universités and Etablissements (CUE) Université Lille Nord de France signed, on December 23th, 20013,  an agreement with Eiffage for the Campus Grand Lille PPP project.

The project involves the design, construction, financing and maintenance of the components described below, for a period of 27 years and 7 months.

Campus Grand Lille consists of three components:
  • Pôle Formation Santé (PFS): the extension of the Faculty of medicine at the University of Lille 2 and the creation of a large university library at the University Hospital site Lille.
  • EURASPORT: a research and training center for health and physical activity.
  • IMMD"LEA: a new institute grouping IMMD "Institut du Marketing et du Management de la Distribution" from the University of Lille 2 and UFR LEA "Langues Etrangères Appliquées" from the University of Lille 3.

The project cost is estimated at €61 million (US$83 million). Regional authorities will add up to €12 million (US$16.3 million).

Bank financing was provided by Société Générale and NordLB.Eiffage was advised by Gide, who mobilized a team of Thomas Courtel, partner, Marie Bouvet-Guiramand, counsel, Mathilde Bonnet and Raphaelle Gout.Taj advised CUE Lille with Eric Fenoyl, partner, and Alexis Tréca.
