The Brazilian state of Minas Gerais, through the Ministry of Education, has initiated a tender process for an educational PPP project.
The project began in December 2015, when a Expression of Interest (EOI) was launched. A total of 12 teams submitted EOIs to carry out feasibility studies for the construction of schools, among them: Andrade Gutierrez Engenharia S / A; Barbosa Mello Participações e Investimentos S / A; Concremat Engenharia e Tecnologia S / A; Construtora Calper Ltda .; Construtora Cowan S / A; And Construtora Norberto Odebrecht S / A.
The purpose of the administrative concession is the design, build, maintenance and operation of 55 school units of public schools in the state. The project implementation would include all the necessary furniture and other equipment, as well as the provision of non-educational support.
The project was divided into 4 lots of schools, each contract having a concession period of 30 years.
The Minas Gerais Development Bank S.A. (BDMG) participated in the design of the project, with the analysis of the feasibility studies and production of the documents published in the public consultation.
The deadline for submitting proposals is June, 9.
