Ecuador tenders two road PPPs

The Government of Ecuador, through the Ministry of Transport and Public Works, has launched the tender processes for the development of two road public private partnership (PPP) projects.

The Government has requested interest (RFEOI) to develop the Quevedo – Jujan road corridor and the Santo Domingo – Quevedo road corridor.

The Quevedo – Jujan road corridor project involves the development of a 84 km road between Quevedo, Babahoyo and Jujan and a 10 km bypass in Jujan. The new two lanes highway, part of the E25 road, comprises the development of a total of 14 interchanges. The total project investment is estimated at US$951 million.

Interested parties had to submit their expression of interest (EOI) by February 26. See tender announcement:

The Santo Domingo – Quevedo road corridor project entails the development of a 91.7 km road between Santo Domingo del los Colorados, Buena Fe and Quevedo and a 26.5 km bypass in Santo Domingo. The new two lanes highway, part of the E25 road, comprises the development of a total of 15 interchanges. The total project investment is estimated at US$530 million.
