DLA Piper hires construction and PPP lawyer

DLA Piper has appointed Alison Fagan as a partner to its Construction, Engineering & Infrastructure Disputes team in Manchester (UK), part of the Litigation & Regulatory practice.

Alison was previously a legal director at Addleshaw Goddard, where she was a key part of the contentious PPP/PFI practice. Joining her will be senior associates Jack Banks and Robin Jack, who will be based in London and Manchester respectively.

Alison specializes in contentious construction work within the PFI/PPP sector. As a result, she has worked for the public sector including central government, secondary market funders, and Project Funders.

The new team builds on the recent hires of Paul Giles, David Moss and Nigel Proctor from Eversheds, as partners and a consultant respectively, to DLA Piper's global Infrastructure, Construction & Transport sector.

Jean-Pierre Douglas-Henry, UK Head of Litigation and Regulatory at DLA Piper, said:

"We have strong international and regional growth aspirations for our contentious construction practice and the hire of Alison and her team very much reinforces this strategy. All three are well respected in their field and will be a considerable asset to our existing capabilities as we continue to grow the group."

Paul Giles, UK head of the Construction and Engineering Disputes practice, said:

"Alison's team is a busy and dynamic one, and we are very pleased to welcome her, Jack and Robin to the firm. Alison has an impressive track record and is recognized in her field for acting on complex PFI/PPP disputes. Her experience will allow us to continue developing the Construction Disputes practice at a national and international level."
