DLA Piper hire energy and infrastructure finance Partner

DLA Piper has recruited David Nelligan to the firm's Finance and Projects practice. He joins the London office as a partner from Simmons & Simmons.

David is a finance lawyer specialising in advising on syndicated and bilateral facilities particularly in emerging markets. He has advised on ECA supported financing structures, project finance, trade finance, structured and leveraged finance.

David has also advised both lenders and borrowers in jurisdictions including the UK, Russia, Ukraine, CIS, South Africa, Angola, Eastern Europe, Nigeria, East Africa and the Middle East.

Charles Morrison, International Group Head for DLA Piper's Finance and Projects group said:

"David's arrival at DLA Piper will add strength to the team, especially given his background in energy and infrastructure finance. We are delighted to welcome him to the firm."

Prior to joining DLA Piper, David spent ten years at Simmons & Simmons, and has also previously worked at Ashurst.

In March 2014, DLA Piper appointed Lillian Mackenzie as a partner in the Projects team in Edinburgh.
