DIF part of winning team for Austrian health PPP

DIF has announced that it is part of the consortium selected as the preferred bidder by Wiener Krankenanstaltenverbund (the Vienna hospital Association) for the Model Radiation Oncology KHR SZO PPP project - Hietzing Hospital.

The consortium comprises DIF Infrastructure IV (a fund managed by DIF), Vamed Standortentwicklung und Engineering GmbH & Co. KG and Vamed Management und Service GmbH & Co. KG.

The project comprises the design, build, finance and maintenance over up to 25 years of two new radiology facilities, including 6 linear accelerators located at two existing hospital sites (Krankenhaus Hietzing and Sozialmedizinisches Zentrum Ost/ Donauspital) in the city of Vienna, Austria and mainly for cancer treatments.

More specifically the object of the contract involves the following aspects:

  • Medical equipment.
  • Radiotherapy, mechanotherapy, electrotherapy and physical therapy devices.
  • Engineering services.
  • Special medical building construction work.
  • Repair and maintenance services.
  • Other community, social and personal services.

The Vienna hospital Association has revealed the winner of the process after re-launching the tender process last summer in July.
