DIF, an independent fund management company and has circa US$3.7 billion of funds under management, has announced the appointment of Willem Jansonius as Partner in its Schiphol office. Willem will be leading DIF’s new core infrastructure activities.
Prior to DIF, Willem was a Managing Director and head of Benelux and Nordics at Macquarie Capital, where he was responsible for the infrastructure advisory and principal activities for 7 years. Before that he was the head of the private equity fund at Cyrte Investments and he worked for nine years at ABN AMRO Corporate Finance in Amsterdam and London, where he was involved in infrastructure M&A transactions.
During his career he has led a wide range of international infrastructure transactions in the energy & utilities, telecom and transportation sectors.
Willem has a Master’s degree in Chemistry from Utrecht University and a Master’s degree in Finance from Nyenrode University in The Netherlands.
