Curitiba receives four Feasibility Studies for metro PPP project

The city of  Curitiba has received four Feasibility Studies after publishing a Request for Expression of Interest (PMI) to structure a Public private partnership project for Curitiba underground.

Three proposals were submitted by private companies:

The fourth proposal was submitted by Movimento Passe Livre (MPL), a public organization.

The city of Curitiba has now 30 days to analyze the proposals. Then the city will carry out a public consultation and public hearings. The tender is expected to come to market in a period of a year.

In 2012, the city of Curitiba had already carried out a public consultation for the project but different problems made impossible the celebration of the tender process. In this context, a new PMI was called to re-structure the project in 2013.
