Croatia relaunches tender for hospital PPP project

Croatia's Center for Monitoring Business Activities in the Energy Sector and Investments has re-launched a tender process for financing, reconstruction, building, equipping, maintenance and management of the neuropsychiatric hospital, "Dr. Ivan Barbot" under a public - private partnership contract.

The hospital is located 69 Km away from Zagreb in the south-east part of the country.

The procurement process will be performed in two stages:

  1. The first phase involves selection of the candidates who have proven the ability to participate in the procedure.
  2. After the first phase, selected candidates will be invited to tender.

The estimated investment for the project is €16.5 million.

The new deadline for submission of requests to participate is 26 November 2013.

The project had been launched in June 2013 but it was canceled on 16th October 2013th because no offers were submitted in the final stage of the tender process. The following companies applied to qualify for the project:

  • STRABAG AG, (Austria)
  • ZAGORJE TEHNOBETON d.d. (Croatia)
  • TEHNIKA d.d. (Croatia)
  • KAMGRAD d.o.o.(Croatia)

However STRBAG was not qualified. None of the other three bidders submitted a final offer for the project.

Tender documents can be downloaded, free of charge, in electronic form on the web page of Electronic public procurement classifieds of the Republic of Croatia:  https://eojn.nn.hr/Oglasnik/
