The Irish National Treasury Management Agency(NDFA) for and on behalf of the Department of Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government and Dublin City Council, has issued a contract notice for the first Social Housing PPP bundle.
The Social Housing PPP, Bundle 1, is expected to consist of 6 social housing developments located in Dublin, Kildare, Louth and Wicklow.
The 2nd phase of the Government’s current PPP programme, announced by the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform, Brendan Howlin T.D in Budget 2015, envisages a programme to invest €300 million (US$321.6 million) in social housing and is expected to comprise:
The programme is being delivered in three bundles with a capital value of approximately €100 million (US$107.2 million) each. Each bundle is being developed over a number of sites, spread across different local authorities. Each individual site is to provide between 50 and 100 social housing units.
