The Oman Power and Water Procurement Company SAOC (OPWP) has awarded the Salalah Independent Water Project to a consortium containing Acwa Power, Veolia and DIDIC. The plant will be located in Salalah, Dhofar region, in the south of Oman. Once fully operational, it will generate 25 million gallons of desalinated water per day using reverse osmosis technology.
