The Chilian Ministry of Public Works announced the reactivation of the construction of the Los Ríos-Los Lagos hospital network with the restart of the works on the Puerto Varas Hospital and the installation of the first stone from the Río Bueno Hospital.
The hospital network, which includes the La Unión and Río Bueno hospitals, will require a total investment of USD 288 million. The "Red Los Ríos-Los Lagos" concession involves replacing three hospitals in the Los Ríos region: one of low complexity in the commune of Los Lagos and two of medium complexity in the communes of La Unión and Río Bueno. Additionally, a medium-high complexity hospital will be established in the Puerto Varas commune. These hospitals will operate in a network, facilitating systematic collaboration to ensure uninterrupted care for users. The project encompasses the design, construction, and maintenance of new facilities, along with the provision, replacement, assembly, and maintenance of medical equipment and furniture.
