National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) has announced construction progress for road public-private partnership (PPP) projects in Colombia.
Troncales del Magdalena 1 and 2 as well as Ruta del Sol 3 and Ruta del Sol 1 are key projects. The construction of Troncal 1 and 2 Magdalena Medio to date has a progress of 50 to 70% at the preoperative stage. The Ruta del Sol 3 project is characterized by a construction lead time of 55.5%.
For the projects Troncales del Magdalena 1 and 2, they carry out such types of work as filling cracks and cracks, filling and filling, elimination of subsidence, signaling, removal of landslides, cleaning of banks, ditches and separators. These projects are currently in the pre-operational phase, which lasts 59 months and is planned to be implemented in two phases. The start of construction is scheduled for December 1, 2023.
The Troncal del Magdalena 1 Corridor Puerto Salgar – Barrancabermeja project is 260 km long and will require an investment of US$2.4 billion. While the Troncal del Magdalena 2 Corridor Sabana de Torres-Curumaní project is 268 km long and will require an investment of US$2 billion. Las Troncales del Magdalena will improve the connectivity of the Caribbean coast with the interior of the country and, together with the Ruta del Sol 3 project, will become the most important cargo corridor in Colombia.
The project works will benefit approximately 800,000 residents of the departments of Santander, Antioquia, Bolivar, Cesar, Cundinamarca, Caldas and Boyaca. It will also create 100,000 jobs.
The National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) and the concessionaire Nueva Vía al Mar (Covimar) have inked an agreement to start the construction, operation and maintenance phase of The Mulaló - Loboguerrero road in Valle del Cauca, Colombia.
