Congo launches tender for mixed-use PPP

The Congolese government, through its agency "l’Agence Congolaise des Grands Travaux (ACGT)", has launched a tender process to develop a mixed-use PPP project.
The project includes the development and upgrade of l’Esplanade du palais du peuple, which include among others, the following:
- development of a 5-star hotel with a total of 141 rooms, including 93 standard rooms, 45 deluxe rooms and 3 VIP suites
- development of the AGGT building and l’Hôtel de ville de Kinshasa
- development of a mall with a total of 135 stores and 6 landscaped offices
- modernization of the 1460-seat grandstand
- development of a car park for 210 cars
The preferred bidder will be responsible for the construction, finance, operation and maintenance of the facilities during the 20-year concession period.
AGGT has launched a request for expression of interest (RFEOI) to develop the project. Interested parties must submit the solicited documents on or before 12 February 2016.
