The National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) has awarded the concession contract to Sacyr Concessions for the improvement of dual carriageway works of the Buga-Buenaventura highway project in Colombia. The 128 km long corridor connects Buga to Buenaventura, Colombia and is a part of the Bicentennial-5G Concessions program.
Sacyr concessions will be responsible for works on the 128 km multi-lane highway and the development of a 116.1 km long second lane along the main highway. The concession also includes the rehabilitation of 15 km of the Simón Bolívar road, the development of two tunnels with a total length of 1.4 km as well as reequipping of 17 existing tunnels with a total length of 9.3 km.
The contract is valued at EUR900 million (US$922.93 million), out of which EUR500 million (US$512.74 million) is allocated to construction works and the remaining EUR400 million (US$410.19 million) will be utilized during operation and maintenance works.
