Infrastructure Ontario (IO) and Stevenson Memorial Hospital have prequalified three companies to deliver the Stevenson Memorial Hospital - Phase I Redevelopment project in Alliston, New Tecumseth, Ontario, Canada.
Selection criteria included the required construction experience applicable to this project and the financial capacity to deliver a project of this size and complexity. The prequalified companies are EllisDon Corporation, Ledcor Construction Limited, and Pomerleau Inc. A Request for Proposals (RFP) is expected to be issued to these prequalified companies in spring 2025. Once submissions are received, IO and Stevenson Memorial Hospital will evaluate the proposals, select a preferred company and then negotiate a final contract. The successful company is expected to be announced later in 2025.
The Project aims to revitalize and expand the hospital with a 146,200-square-foot addition, featuring modernized acute care areas and support functions. The redesign incorporates natural light, upgraded parking, new gardens, and an elevated helipad. Key clinical upgrades include emergency, surgical, diagnostic, and birthing units.
