Colombia shortlists for two road PPPs

On 1 August 2013, the Colombian National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) announced the shortlists for the last two road PPP projects part of 'Autopistas de la Prosperidad' package and part of the 4G Program.

Presentation of the projects

The concessions and the teams selected are:

Pacific Connection highway concession 2 (Autopistas de la Prosperidad): Pacific Connection highway concession 2: includes the stretches of Bolombolo-La Pintada and La Pintada-Primavera. It has an estimated investment to US$515 million, with a total length of 95 kilometers. It has 33 bridges and a tunnel.

On 5 June 2013, a  total of 19 consortia submitted proposals in the EOIs phase.

The list of ten consortia qualified for the next phase of the tender process is the following:

  • Estructura Plural Autopista Conexión Antioquia Tunnel [Coninsa Ramón SA 5%, SP Ingenieros 20%, Procopal SA 5%, Cointer Concesiones 25%, Construcciones Rubau Colombnia 20%,  Sinohydro Group 25%]
  • Estructura Plural Mario Alberto Huertas Cotes y Constructora Meco Sociedad Anónima Sucursal Colombia [Mario Alberto Huertas Cotes 75%, Constructora Meco Sociedad Anónima Sucursal Colombia 25%]

Pacific Connection highway concession 3 (Autopistas de la Prosperidad)Pacific Connection highway concession 3: includes La Pintada-La Felisa; La Felisa-Irra; La Felisa-Asia; Asia-La Virginia; Tesalia by-pass; and Irra-Tres Puertas. This concession has an investment of US$647 million and it has 231 kilometers, with 26 bridges and 3 tunnels.

On 5 June 2013, a  total of 19 consortia submitted proposals in the EOIs phase.

The list of ten consortia qualified for the next phase of the tender process is the following:

  • Estructura Plural Cintra Infraestructura Colombia S.A.S. y Arquitectos e Ingenieros Asociados. [Cintra Colombia 95%, Arquitectos e Ingenieros Asociados S.A 5%]
  • Estructura Plural Mario Alberto Huertas Cotes y Constructora Meco Sociedad Anónima Sucursal Colombia [Mario Alberto Huertas Cotes 75%, Constructora Meco Sociedad Anónima Sucursal Colombia 25%]
  • Estructura Plural Conexión Antioquia Tres Puertas [Coninsa Ramón SA 5%, SP Ingenieros 20%, Procopal SA 5%, Cointer Concesiones 25%, Construcciones Rubau Colombnia 20%,  Sinohydro Group 25%]
