The Colombian National Planning Department has announced the shortlist of consultants for two social public private partnership (PPP) programs.

One of the contracts involves the analysis of the implementation of the PPP instrument, according to the Law 1508 of 2012, in the health sector in Colombia. It also involves the development of a framework to carry out PPP projects in the health sector and the identification of two potential pilot projects.

The firms shortlisted are the following:

• Gesaworld S.A.,
• Arup Colombia,
• PwC Colombia,
• Vecta Global, Unique Health and Tracis,
• KPMG Advisory Services Ltda, and
• Currie & Brown

The other consultancy contract involves the analysis of the use of PPP scheme for the implementation of projects involving the design, construction, rehabilitation, improvement and/or  equipment as well as the operation and maintenance of educational facilities.

The firms shortlisted are the following:

• McBains Cooper Colombia SAS and Durán & Osorio Abogados Asociados,
• Consorcio Castalia - Caledonian Economics - Estudios Palacios Lleras,
• Deloitte Advisory S.L - Deloitte Asesores y Consultores Ltda,
• ARUP Colombia,
• Currie & Brown , and
• KPMG Advisory Services Ltda.

These two programs aims to boost the health and education sector in Colombia by the use of PPP projects to develop and maintain new facilities.
