The Colombian National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) has published tender documents of four new road projects, which will be part of the next phase of the fourth generation (4G) Program of highway concessions.
The four projects are the following:
- Santa Ana - Mocoa - Neiva: The project involves the development of a new 54 km road and the upgrade of a 422 km road. The project includes the development of 3 tunnels and 3.5 km of several bridges, among others.
The total value of the contract is estimated at P1,000 billion (US$426.6 million).

- Rumichaca - Pasto; The project involves the development of a new 74 km highway and the upgrade of the road between Rumichaca and Pasto. The project includes the development of 7 tunnels and about 30 bridges, among others.
The total project investment is estimated at P1,600 billion (US$682.6 million).
- Santander de Quilichao - Popayán; The project involves the development of a new 76 km road. The project includes the development about 23 bridges.
The total project investment is estimated at P1,100 billion (US$469 million).

- Puerta de Hierro - Carreto - Palmar de Varela; Carreto - Cruz del Viso; The project involves the upgrade of a 175 km road with construction estimated to take three years.
The total project investment is estimated at P448 billion pesos (US$191.1 million)

The second wave of 4G highway projects includes 10 concessions. 4G involves the construction of 8,000km of roads, including 1,200km of four-lane highways, with the majority of projects to be carried out as PPPs.
In mid November we reported that Colombia's National Council for Economic and Social Policy (CONPES) had prioritized eight new road projects, which included these four that have been tendered.
