Colombia launches prequalification for Barranquilla airport

The Colombian National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) will launch on July 31, 2013, the prequalification process for the PPP contract of Ernesto Cortissoz airport (Barranquilla International Airport).

The ANI had advanced in early July that its strategy was to launch two Public private partnership tenders for the design, construction and maintenance of the airports:

Tender 1: Barranquilla International AirportTender 2: Airports of Armenia, Popoayán and Neiva

The estimated investment will be P$200.000 million (US$105 million) each tender.

ANI's President, Luis Fernando Andrade, had announced that the tenders would be launched on July 31st and start in September 2013. ANI's President also said that the airports are likely to be awarded before the award of the road concessions.
