Clubfinance Project Finance appoints ex-Covanta Energy financial analysis expert

Clubfinance Project Finance has appointed Viet Nguyen as a manager and financial analyst.

Nguyen, a Cambridge naturalsciences graduate, will specialise in building the business's capability in waste, energy-from-waste and renewables infrastructure projects.

Nguyen's appointment follows that of Neil Rutledge as Clubfinance Project Finance Head of Advisory & Business Development. Rutledge joined in April from Grant Thornton, where he was a partner with 20 years of experience raising finance for and overseeing Public-Private Partnership and Private Finance Initiative schemes.

Nguyen previously headed the Financial Analysis function at Covanta Energy UK. Prior to Covanta Energy UK, Nguyen worked in project finance modelling for Grant Thornton and Operis.

Clubfinance Project Finance acts for most active infrastructure fund managers such as AmberEquitix, InfraRed and Innisfree as well as leading sponsors such as Amey, Babcock, Costain, John Laing.
