China Communications Construction Company wins road PPP

Second Harbour Engineering, a subsidiary of China Communications Construction Company, has recently won the bid for the PPP project of the alternate line of Furong Boulevard and the connecting line of Shanghai-Ruili Highway in Xiangtan, located in the Hunan Province.

The total investment is about CNY850 million (US$130 million), including an investment of some CNY600 million (US$91 million) in construction and installation.

With a construction period of three years and an operation period of seven years, the project involves two 2-way 6-lane city expressways.

The alternate line of Furong Boulevard stretches from Northern Second Ring Road to Zhaoshanjie, with a full length of 4.06 kilometers.

The connecting line of Shanghai-Ruli Highway stretches from Furong Boulevard to the alternate line of the boulevard, with a full length of 0.85 kilometers.

After its completion, the project will further open up Xiangtan's outward channel and promote the development of the regional modern assembly, manufacturing and logistics industries.
