Chile launches tender for Puerto Montt airport concession

Chile's Ministry of Public Works announced last week that it has re-started the tender process for El Tepual - Puerto Montt airport concession. The estimated investment for the project is US$4.2 million.

The concession contract will involve the upgrade, refurbishment and maintenance of the existing airport civil infrastructure, installations and equipments.

Only the previously pre-qualified consortia will be available to participate in the tender process. MOP expects to start the second stage of the competitive process in the second semester of 2013.

El Tepual airport is located at the center of Northern Patagonia and near the Archaeological site of Monte Verde. The construction of the airport was completed in April 1960 and a new terminal was inaugurated in February 2010.
