Charles de Rancher and Antoine Collomb join Rabobank Project Finance

Rabobank announced in late May that Charles de Rancher and Antoine Collomb have joined the bank's Project Finance-Americas group in New York, which specializes in non-recourse finance solutions for renewable energy clients.

As an Assistant Vice President, Mr. de Rancher works with the bank's deal teams to arrange, structure, and execute financing for wind, solar and biomass projects. He joins Rabobank from Banco Espirito Santo, and his previous banking experience includes Bayerische Landesbank and BNP Paribas.

Mr. Collomb, an Assistant Vice President and Assistant Portfolio Manager, is responsible for portfolio management, monitoring and compliance in the Project Finance group.  Before coming to Rabobank, he worked in credit risk and portfolio management at Dexia Credit Local, and prior to that was at Natixis and Societe Generale.

Thomas Emmons, Managing Director and Head of Project Finance-Americas, said:

"The experience and knowledge that Charles and Antoine have in the project finance field will be valuable as we continue to grow our portfolio of solar, wind and biomass projects in North and South America, as well as our involvement in agri-related energy projects that serve the bank's food and agribusiness clientele."

Since entering the American renewable energy arena in 2009, Rabobank has financed more than 6GW of renewable energy projects.  In 2013, Rabobank was ranked #3 Mandated Lead Arranger of renewable energy projects in the Americas.  Also in 2013, Rabobank provided financing for SunEdison's San Andres project in Chile, which was named Latin American 2013 Solar Deal of the Year.

In 2012, Rabobank arranged financing for SBM Offshore, which was named Americas Bond Deal of the Year, and for Arlington Valley Solar, which was named North American Single Asset Deal of the Year.
