Chadbourne adds new Project Finance Lawyer in London

Chadbourne & Parke announced today that the firm has strengthened its Project Finance Group in its London office through the addition of international partner Despina Doxaki. Ms. Doxaki is joining Chadbourne from KG Law Firm, Greece's largest multidisciplinary law firm.

Ms. Doxaki focuses her practice on project finance work and a wide range of banking and finance transactional matters. She has advised clients operating in all investment sectors and development fields in southern Europe, and, in particular, in the Hellenic Republic. During her time at KG Law Firm, Ms. Doxaki significantly expanded the project finance practice and developed close professional relationships with Greek, European and international lenders as well with a number of major Greek companies. She has particular expertise in the infrastructure field. Over the last two years she has been advising on two pioneering PPP projects in Greece, which were the first successfully to reach financial close in a challenging local market and financial environment.

Adrian Mecz, Managing Partner of the London office, said:

"Strengthening Chadbourne's project finance capabilities in Europe is a critical component of our firmwide strategy to enhance our position as one of the leading energy firms in the world. With her experience and connections in southern Europe, Despina will play an important role in growing our practice. We are delighted to welcome her to the firm."

Ms. Doxaki is an active member of the Legal Committee of Greek Banking Association's Banking and Capital Markets Law Society, European Community Law Association and European Lawyers Association.

She earned her European Baccalaureate from the European Law School in Brussels, her LL.B. from Athens University Law School, and her LL.M. from the Institute for European Studies of the Université Libre de Bruxelles.

Ms. Doxaki is fluent in English, French and Greek.
