Companhia Espírito Santense de Saneamento (CESAN), a Brazilian state-owned company, has launched a public consultations for a sanitation public private partnership (PPP) project in the he Municipality of Vila Velha, in the metropolitan area of Grande Vitória (Brazil).
The concession involves the privatization of Vila Velha's sanitation system. The concessionaire will be responsible for the upgrade, expansion and maintenance of the system.
The concession contract will have a period of 30 years and it has an estimated value of R$1.609 million (US$451 million).
CESAN is southeastern Brazil's Espírito Santo state water utility. The state-owned company provides water collection, treatment and distribution, as well as sewage treatment services. The Vitória-based firm was founded in 1967.
