After being the only bidder for the PPP contract for the implementation and operation of the metro system of Salvador e Lauro de Freitas, we discovered yesterday that Companhia de Concessões Rodoviárias (CCR) requested a valid annual payment of R$ 127,6 million. That amount is 5 % lower than the minimum amount allowed in the tender documents, R$ 134,4 million.
The PPP project involves the construction of Line 2, the extension of Line 1 and the operation and maintenance of both lines for 30 years.The submission of proposals took place on Monday August 19th at the Sao Paulo Stock Exchange (Bovespa). The state Commission already approved the technical requirements from CCR's bid.According to the tender schedule, the third envelope submitted by CCR will be opened today. The final decision on the award of the project will be announced on August 27th.Shareholders of CCR, construction companies Andrade Gutierrez and Camargo Correa were part of the consortium building the Line 1 of Salvador metro system.The estimated investment for the project is US$1.7 billion.Source: PPP Brasil
