Tianjin Dredging and the Administrative Committee of Dongying Economic and Technological Development Zone signed the PPP contract with CCCC First Harbor Engineering Co. for the breakwater channel in the Guangli zone of Dongying Port.

Dongying, a prefecture-level city, lies on the northern coast of Shandong province, People's Republic of China. 

The project is among the first group of municipal model PPP projects determined by the Dongying Municipal Government. With an estimated total investment of CNY1.3 billion (US$198 million), a construction period of two year and an operation period of 10 years, the project comprises the breakwater extension, the south breakwater and the channel.

As an integral part of the infrastructure in the Guangli zone of Dongying Port, after its completion, the project will construct a basic framework of two-breakwater encircling in this zone, and lay a solid foundation for the opening of this zone in 2017.

After its completion, the project will greatly improve berthing conditions in the port zone, significantly contributing to the port operation efficiency and port service capacity.
