Cbus appoints key investment strategy roles

Cbus has announced three key new appointments, continuing to expand its in-house investment capability as part of the new investment strategy announced in August.

These new appointments are across the Investment Strategy team and illustrate the breadth of the capability currently being built.

Linda Cunningham has been appointed as Manager, Debt to oversee the Alternative Debt sector in the Public Markets Team. Linda will also be responsible for designing and implementing any internally managed strategies in this area.

With over 25 years’ experience in funds management and banking, Linda joins Cbus from IFM Investors where she was Executive Director, Debt Investments with responsibility for managing key credit portfolios.

Anna Weickart has been appointed as a Senior Investment Analyst also in the Public Markets Team and will be overseeing the International and Australian equity manager research effort. Anna has 19 years of manager research experience, most recently with Willis Towers Watson in Australia and Germany.

Alex Miller has been appointed as Infrastructure Transaction Specialist in the Private Markets Team. Alex brings over 18 years of experience in originating and executing greenfield and brownfield infrastructure transactions, most recently in KPMG’s Infrastructure and Projects team and previously as a Director at BOS International.

Cbus continues to expand its presence in Sydney with Anna and Alex both based in Cbus’ Sydney office.

Kristian Fok, Executive Manager, Investment Strategy said:

"We are so pleased to welcome Linda, Anna and Alex, bringing their depth of experience and talent to the team. We’re looking to appoint a significant number of new roles in the next few months as we go through our capability building stage. Continuing to attract people of this calibre this will put us in a great position for future growth."
