Brazil's civil aviation department, Secretaria de Aviação Civil (SAC), has launched a tender process to hire consultants for the concession of the Marechal Rondon International Airport.
The selected consultants will provide technical, financial and environmental feasibility studies for a potential public-private partnership contract for the upgrade, operation and maintenance of the international airport in the state of Mato Grosso, in its capital Cuiabá.
Marechal Rondon International Airport is located in the adjoining municipality of Várzea Grand and it is currently operated by state-owned Empresa Brasileira de Infraestrutura Aeroportuária (Infraero).
The maximum budget available for the assessment has been set up at R$8.5 million (US$2.42 million).
Interested parties must submit their proposals on or before June 6, 2016.
