Brazil’s Distrito Federal has started a public consultation to redevelop a Convention Center in Brasilia through the PPP model.
The project will involve the expansion, renovation, modernization and operation of the "Centro de Convenções Ulysses Guimarães".
The concession agreement will be for a period of 30 years and the total project investment is estimated at R$79 million (US$22.7 million).
The convention center was designed by Sergio Bernardes and it was renovated, expanded and partially opened in 2005. With a total capacity for 9400 people and a total of 54,000 m2 of building area, it is the 3rd largest civic center of the country.
