Brazil's Federal District, through the State Department of Health (SES), as published the notice of a tender process whose object is the administrative concession contract for a health PPP project.The future concessionaire will be responsible for construction, operation and maintenance of the following assets:

• Trauma center of the Base Hospital (Hospital de Base),
• Gamma hospital (Hospital do Gama), and
• Examination units and a reports center.

The estimated total value (revenues) of the contract is R$6 billion (US$2.5 billion) and the concession is for a period of 20 years.Feasibility studies were submitted by the following companies:

• Andrade Gutierrez S.A.,
• Kitmed Distribuidora Sociedade Empresarial Ltda.
• Accenture do Brasil Ltda.

Proposals must be submitted by January 14, 2014.The winning bidder will be the one that submits the best technical offer and the lowest annual payment.
