Brazil's ANTT approves studies for three federal road concessions

Brazil's national ground transport agency ANTT has approved studies to develop three federal road concessions.

The tender processes for the road PPP projects are expected to be launched by the end 2015. In total, the three concession contract worth approximately R$13.8 billion (US$3.6 billion).

The three projects are the following:

  • BR-364 and BR-365 road concession. The project will be developed in Minas Gerais and Goiás states and it is worth about R$3.1 billion (US$808 million). The study for this concession was prepared by Empresa Global de Projetos.

The projects belong to the federal government's logistics investment program PIL, which aims to launch tender processes for 15 federal road concessions by 2016.
