Brazil awards three airport concession blocks
Brazil’s national agency of civil aviation (ANAC) has selected three consortia for the operation of 12 airports under the 5th Round of Airports Concession, launched in November 2018.
Spanish airport operator Aena has won the largest and most important block involving the Northeast block airport concession: Recife (Pernambuco state), Maceió (Alagoas), Aracaju (Sergipe), João Pessoa (Paraíba), Campina Grande (Paraíba) and Juazeiro do Norte (Ceará). This block is valued at BRL1900 million (US$498 million).
The Southeastern block, composed of the terminals of Vitoria (Espírito Santo) and Macaé (Rio de Janeiro), was awarded to Zurich Airport Latin America for US$114 million.
Finally the Central West Block airport block (Cuiaba Marechal Rondon Airport, Sinop Airport, Barra do Garcas Airport, Rondonopolis Airport and Alta Floresta Airport) was awarded to Brazilian corsortium Aeoreste for (US$10 million).
The concession packages involves a total investment of US$ 900 million and a concession period of 30 years.

Fraport secures US$320 million financing for Brazilian airport concession
The National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) in Brazil has announced that it has approved a BRL1.25 billion (US$322.7 million) loan to Fraport Brasil - Porto Alegre for the expansion, modernization and maintenance of the infrastructure of Porto Alegre Airport.

Local consortium wins Brazil's first rehabilitate/maintain road concession
Estrada do Feijão Bahia, a consortium comprising Paviservice and SVC Construções, has been awarded the concession contract to rehabilitate and maintain the BA-052 road in Bahia, a state in the north-east of Brazil. Estrada do Feijão Bahia will invest approximately BRL700 million (US$185.8 million) throughout the 20-year contract.

Salvador Bahia Airport and Banco do Nordeste (BNB) agree on financing of the airport's modernization project
Vinci's subsidiary Salvador Bahia Airport and Banco do Nordeste (BNB) have announced to have reached an agreement for a BRL516 million (US$132.14 million) loan to finance the first phase of renovation and expansion works at the airport, which will be completed by October 2019.
