Bolzano launches tender for prison PPP project

The province of Bolzano, in northern Italy, has launched a tender for design, finance, build, operation and maintenance of a new penitentiary center.

The new prison will be located in south Bolzano south, near the airport. The Province has already acquired the land for the project at a cost of €14 million. The term of the contract will not exceed 20 years, with a construction time of not more than 3 years. The investment value is estimated at € 72 million.

The deadline to submit proposals is 29 November 2013. The deadline was already modified and extended from the first deadline, 30 september 2013.

PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Claudio Guccione and Klaus Plattner are respectively the financial, legal and technical advisors to the province of Bolzano.
