Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC) announced that it has received a bidder proposal for the development of a small-scale wastewater treatment plant (SSTP) and collection network (CN) for the Jazan region, Saudi Arabia.
Alkhorayef Water and Power Technologies, based in Saudi Arabia, is the only developer that submitted a proposal for the project. The initiative aims to establish a treatment facility with a capacity of up to 74,700 cubic meters per day, along with a 166 km-long collection network. The project is expected to commence commercial operations by the fourth quarter of 2028.
Upon completion, the collection network will be transferred to the National Water Company (NWC). A project company will be formed to execute the development and handle sewage treatment under a 25-year Sewage Treatment and Collection Network Implementation Agreement (STCNIA) with SWPC.
