Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC) has received bids from the private sector for Ras Mohaisen Independent Water Plant (IWP) in Saudi Arabia.
The bids are received from the following consortia:
The winning consortium will be responsible for the design, building, financing, operation and maintenance of the plant for a period of 25 years.
Ras Mohaisen IWP will produce 300,000 m3/day of potable water. It will also feature storage tanks with a capacity of 600,000 cubic meters (equivalent to two operating days) and an electrical substation. The project is expected to become commercially operational by Q2 2028.
