The Belo Horizonte Science Park (BH-TEC) has published a tender process seeking a concessionaire to build and operate a new building associated to the park.
The concession contract is for a period of thirty years. The contract includes the implementation, maintenance and operation of the new facilities of the building complex of the BH-TEC, totaling approximately 207,000 m².
The estimated investment value of the project is R$480 million (US$205 million).
The winning bidder will be the company offering the maximum annual payment to the park. The minimum amount to be offered each year is R$1.700.000 (US$724.270).
Proposals should be submitted by December 19, 2013.
The BH-TEC is located next to the campus of the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG). The area which is being deployed BH-TEC has a total of 535,000 square meters, with 185,000 m² are for construction of the project and 350,000 square meters are an environmental protection area (ZPAM).
