Barcelona University seeks investors to expand Law College through concession agreement

The University of Barcelona has launched a tender process to build, operate and maintain the first expansion of its Law College building through a concession contract. The concession will also include the development of the electrical infrastructure connecting old and new buildings.

The contract has an estimated investment amount of around €36 million, excluding VAT.  The selected private partner will be remunerated via availability payments to be paid after the commissioning of the new building.

The total length of the contract will be 120 months or 10 years.

The preferred bidder will be selected in a two-stage procurement process. The shortlisted bidders will participate in a competitive dialogue with the procurement entity, the University of Barcelona.

The deadline for submissions of proposals is 1 September 2014.
