Bam sells water treatment activities to Suez´s sita remediation BV

BAM Infra Nederland bv has sold its water treatment activities, which formed part of BAM Infra Milieu, to SITA Remediation bv in Utrecht.

According to an announcement of the firm, the transaction refers to the employees, work in progress and plant and water treatment equipment.

BAM said it sees insufficient opportunities for further development of the water treatment activities and considers the added value of this specialization for the group limited. Furthermore, the transaction is in line with the streamlining of the organisation.

As a subsidiary of SITA Specialties, part of SUEZ Environnement, SITA Remediation is present in the international markets for soil remediation, water purification and treatment of contaminated soil. SITA Remediation has offices in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and France and has about 350 employees.
