BAM, ACS team preferred bidder for N25 PPP

According to market sources, the consortium composed by BAM PPP, PGGM and Iridium (ACS group) has won the tender process for the Ireland's N-25 New Ross Bypass PPP project.

The team beat out competition form three other consortia that were also shortlisted in August 2013. The three teams are the following:

The proposed N-25 New Ross Bypass includes the construction of sections of both the N-25 and N-30 routes. More particularly it is envisaged that the road PPP project will comprise works of approximately 14.6 km of dual carriageway (N-25 & N-30 routes) and 1.2 km of single carriageway (New Ross N30 route).

The total project investment is estimated at €215 million (US$337.1 million).

The main structural feature of the scheme will be the Barrow Bridge which will be an extrados bridge of approximately 900 m overall length with the two main central spans approximately 230 m in length.

The vertical alignment for the Barrow Bridge allows a 36 m clearance envelope above Mean High Water Spring for the navigation channel of the river.

This year we have reported about four road PPP projects in Ireland:
