Ashoka Buildcon wins two road PPP project in Karnataka

Karnataka Road Development Corporation Limited (KRDCL) has selected Ashoka Buildcon as the preferred bidder for two roads PPP projects in India.

The two roads will be developed on a design, build, finance, operation, maintenance and transfer (DBFOMT) basis. The projects, located in the state of Karnataka, are the following:

Karnataka is a state in south western region of India.  The state covers an area of 191,976 km², which is the 5.83% of the total geographical area of India. With approximately 62 million inhabitants, Karnataka is the eighth largest state by population.

During this last month we have reported on several road PPP projects in India. Last week IL&FS Transportation Networks Ltd signed the Amravati-Chikhli and Fagne-Gujarat/Maharashtra border sections of the NH-6 in Maharashtra and a week before the Government of Uttar Pradesh received qualification documents for 5 road projects and launched a RFQ for two others.
