AMP Capital boosts Infrastructure Equity team in London

Damian Stanley has joined the AMP Capital Infrastructure Equity team as Principal, Investments, based in London.

Reporting to AMP Capital Head of Origination, Europe, Simon Ellis, Mr Stanley will be responsible for leading transactions in the region for the global infrastructure platform and AMP Capital's institutional investors.

Mr Stanley has extensive experience leading transactions and managing assets within the infrastructure space, with a predominant focus on the transport sector. He was most recently a director on the Australian board of Whitehelm Capital and Chairman of its UK subsidiary board. Previous roles have included Head of Infrastructure Investment Advisory, Europe, Middle East and Africa at Morgan Stanley and Managing Director, Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets at Macquarie Group in Sydney and London.

AMP Capital Global Head of Infrastructure Equity Boe Pahari stated:

"I'm delighted to announce that Damian has joined our team in London. He brings a unique understanding of infrastructure transactions as both an adviser and a principal and will provide valuable insight as we deploy the capital committed to our global infrastructure platform."

"AMP Capital's focus is on acquiring additional assets for the global infrastructure platform in sectors such as transport, energy, communication and utilities and we have been encouraged to see deal flow steadily increasing across Europe. Damian will play a key role in finding the best opportunities from the region for our clients."

AMP Capital has raised more than US$540 million in new commitments for the global infrastructure platform since its launch last September. The target size for the platform is approximately US$2 billion.
