Amey appoints Andy Milner as CEO

Amey, the UK subsidiary of Ferrovial Services, has announced the appointment of Andy Milner as CEO to replace Mel Ewell, who will be stepping down in March after 15 years at the helm.

A civil engineer, Andy Milner joined Amey in 2006 upon the acquisition of Owen Williams. Since 2008, he has headed Amey’s Consulting and Strategic Infrastructure division and, since 2013 he has been a member of the Ferrovial Services Management Committee as director of the Centre of Excellence for Asset Management.

Mel Ewell, who has headed the company for the last 13 years since the takeover of Amey by Ferrovial in 2003, played a major role in the 2013 acquisition and subsequent integration of Enterprise PLC. Ferrovial has acknowledged his outstanding performance leading the company.

Santiago Olivares, CEO of Ferrovial Services, said:

“I would like to thank Mel for his contribution to Ferrovial Services down through the years, in which the company has expanded and established itself as a leader in its industry in the United Kingdom.”

Since the acquisition in 2003, the UK subsidiary of Ferrovial Services has expanded revenues four-fold, from 600 million pounds to 2.5 billion pounds, and it currently has 21,000 employees.
