The five consortia that submitted qualification documents for the Craiova - Pitesti motorway concession have been pre-qualified to enter into the competitive dialogue stage with the Compania Nationala de Autostrazi. The documents were submitted and opened on May 8, at the head office of the CNADNR.

The five consortia that asked for qualification were the following:

• Spedition UMB, Tehnostrade, and Vectra Service (local firms). 
• Obrascon Huarte Lain - OHL ZS (Spain),
• China Communications Construction Company - Dogus Insaat Ve Ticaret (Turkey) - Egis Projects (France),
• Strabag (Austria) - Vinci (France) - Aktor (Greece), and
• Impregilo - Salini from Italy.

The CNADNR published the tender for the concession contract for the design, construction, financing, operation and maintenance of the highway Craiova - Pitesti (Km 0 +000 - Km 121 185) in mid March.

The main activities of the concessionaire under the concession contract will be the following:

• a) Obtaining financing for construction of the highway;
• b) Designing and preparing documentation required to obtain permits and approvals for execution;
• c) Building the highway Craiova - Pitesti;
• d) Operating and maintaning the highway Craiova - Pitesti.
