Infrastructure Ontario and Metrolinx have selected Pape North Connect to deliver the Ontario Line Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations contract in Canada.
The team has signed a Development and Master Construction Agreement (DMCA) with Metrolinx, under a progressive design-build contract. The Pape North Connect team includes:
The project's tasks encompass constructing 3 km of paired tunnels beneath Pape Avenue, extending from the Gerrard portal to the Don Valley bridge. It also involves establishing two tunnel portals at Gerrard Avenue and Minton Place, an underground station at the intersection of Pape Avenue and Danforth Avenue (connecting with the TTC's existing Pape Station on Line 2), and another underground station at the junction of Cosburn Avenue and Pape Avenue. Additionally, the project includes the creation of three emergency exit/service buildings, underpinning the existing TTC Pape Station, and installing a rail switch/crossover within the tunnel near Sammon Avenue.
