Aegea wins water and sewerage concession in Bombinhas (SC)

Aegea Saneamento e Participações S.A. has been selected as preferred bidder for a water and sewerage concession in Bombinhas (Brazil).

Bombinhas has about 18,000 inhabitants and is the third largest municipality in the state of Santa Catarina in the South region of Brazil. 

The tender process was published in May 2015 and three companies submitted proposals for the project, resulting in Aegea as the winner.

The period for the concession is 35 years and the estimated value is BRL1,103 million (US$340 million).

Aegea manages sanitation assets in several states of the country. It serves 45 municipalities in the country, with a total population of 3 million people served.
